Role:

The People & Culture Manager will be responsible for coaching and advising management and all internal stakeholders on best practices, employment law, employee relations, full-cycle recruitment, performance management, and professional interactions, including conflict resolution. 

This role champions a people-first mindset and requires a deep understanding of HR policies and regulations across the ecommerce and retail landscape. The ideal candidate will exemplify seamless communication and impeccable organization, navigate challenges with a proactive mindset, and maintain unwavering attention to detail.

Responsibilities: 

  • Central point of contact and administrator for our People systems - Humi and WagePoint
  • Act as Peace Collective’s resource for all employee relations topics such as: hiring and termination best practices, inquiries from employees about policies, and more
  • Coach, guide and support people leaders on people practices such as performance, career development and employee relations
  • Oversee all HR documentation including the management and organization of all HR data on Google Drive and Humi
  • Facilitate the onboarding and offboarding process from new hire orientation to exit interviews
  • Partner with our finance team on payroll information, processes and information flow related to payroll
  • Implement People policies and culture initiatives that promote a positive and inclusive work environment
  • Maintain and build knowledge of trends and standard practices on the HR discipline to proactively examine and suggest improvements to culture, practices and policies
  • Support the management of compensation and benefits
  • Foster a positive and inclusive workplace culture that reflects Peace Collective’s values

Requirements: 

  • 5+ years of progressive HR/ People Operations experience that includes developing and implementing people programs in a high-growth environment
  • Experience with being the face of HR, representing policies and practices to managers and employees across the organization
  • Strong understanding of Canadian employment laws, regulations, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to manage multiple-projects with the highest degree of professionalism and confidentiality 
  • Strong communicator with demonstrated experience influencing and collaborating cross-functionally and with close attention to detail
